A quick little project...

Just because I haven't spoken to a human over the age of 6 today, I figure I should share with you... After HOURS of interrrupted work, I managed to baste three quilts and clean up the mess I made, plus do a little laundry and thaw salmon for dinner. Now I'm holding a sleepy baby and blogging with one hand. :-) Oh what fun! ;-)

I took some time during "naptime" (aka - send the kids to their rooms for some quiet time) the other day to piece this quick little quilt top. Honestly, I love this one.  It was sort of a test just to make sure I liked the overall effect and it's great so I'm planning to make a similar one for Sarah when she's a little older. Meanwhile, I plan to finish this one and get it into the shop next week.

36x36" - Fabric is mostly from Flea Market Fancy fabric line, along with a few of my other favorite designs.

busy busy...

I know I should be posting 6 weeks photos of the baby but bear with me. I have finally accomplished something other than changing diapers and feeding a child and I am quite proud of myself. :-)

I somehow managed to turn these two quilt tops (that I pieced in December!) into quilts this week. They turned out quite stunning and I love the shot of them side by side. They'd be perfect for twins. Aren't they sweet?!

 

 

A little Destashing...

I'm trying to get my sewing space in order and I've decided to place a few of my quilt tops for sale. These tops come pieced  and ready to be made into baby blankets or quilts. Each top comes pressed with unifinished edges. Borders can be added to increase size.

I've already listed several with a few more to be added soon. Check them out.

4 weeks and counting...

Sarah turned 4 weeks old today and I was finally able to get a few more photos of the sweet little dumpling. I love this little outfit and wanted to take a few pics since she is almost too long for it already. If one thing can be said, this child is definitely growing. :-)

I love how she sleeps with that pretty little mouth open. :-)

two weeks and counting...

Okay, so I've been holding my breath for two weeks waiting for her to turn into a difficult baby, but so far so good. I'm actually sleeping some at night and the kids have learned to pop her paci back in during the day.

:-) She's a particularly awesome baby, at least in my experience. Whew!

One Week Old...

Better Late than Losing Sleep...

Meet Sarah Elizabeth Duke... Isn't she a sweetie?

Sarah was born about a week and a half ago and came home with us last Friday. She's doing great and aside from a couple problems with my blood pressure, we've had a great week at home.

These are a few of the wonderful photos my friend Katie was able to take at the hospital.

One month later...

Another month has pasted and we are 4 weeks closer to meeting baby number Four. As excited as I am getting to meet her, I am also getting more miserable by the hour. Thankfully, I've had little reason to leave the house and lots of time to rest my swollen ankles. :-)

I did get out without kids today to have a few maternity photos taken of my ever-blooming belly. I haven't had time to go through all of them, but here are a few of my favorites. :-) Thanks again, Katie!

turn into THIS?

I mean, seriously, how could 3 years have passed? It's insane. Anyway, Abby's birthday party went great and aside from missing my parents, it was perfect. She loved everything. The cupcakes were a total hit, as were the decorations and all the presents. Even I was a little surprized by how happy she was with everything. She's such a sweetheart. :-)
